After last week’s 3.4 lb. gain, it took all I had to not let that number mess with my head and drive me crazy. I weighed in a day early, after running 3 miles and drinking water, different meeting location, and more. The weigh-in was wrong in every way possible, but I was just trying to stay accountable since I could not weigh-in on Saturday.

This week, I knew I had to work hard to make up for that gain, however temporary it may have been. And boy did I ever make up for it with a 5 lb. loss! This loss puts me SO close to the 140’s and 11.4 pounds away from goal.

WW Weekly weigh-in Week 39

I was very happy to get back to my regular meeting and weigh-in day. I am such a creature of habit and if something changes, it almost gives me anxiety (which could probably be a whole blog post in it’s own).

Things I did right this week are:

  • While I did not track every day, I did track 5 of 7 days and that is certainly better than not tracking at all.
  • I should buy stock in bottled water because I drink an obscene amount of it. This week was no different.
  • I made black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes which made for a great lunch and side dish during the week. I had it with fish, with tortilla chips, on salad, and more.
  • Still rockin’ my half marathon training and ran 4 times this week.

What I will focus on this week:

  • Tracking will be high on this list every week. We talked about it at the meeting this morning, about what your tracking says about you. A good reminder to track every day. (I’m not sure why this is so hard for me the last couple of months!)
  • One thing I have been lacking in at least the last couple of weeks, is getting enough healthy oils. Healthy oils, such as olive oil, are so important for weight loss.
  • I am such a broken record with this, but I need to not let stress control what I eat. It’s one thing to go out and splurge on a meal (as we will tonight!), but it gets me nowhere to throw in the towel for lunch just because I’m stressed out about something, anything. This will be a lifelong lesson, one that I will have to continue to work on even after I reach goal.

As for my activity this week…. I was a few less than last week, but still earned 45. That’s a great week. It’s a good thing I am earning extra points to consume because the days that I run, I am much hungrier than non-running days. In addition my running, I did my #dailycorework three days this week. I wish I had been better about it.

Tomorrow finishes up Week 6 of my half marathon training and I’ll do a 7 mile run at the beach. We had a touch of cooler weather this morning and I hope it’s just like that tomorrow. That will make for a glorious run.

Have a fantastic weekend!

  1. I am so happy for you. It sounds like you are doing WW your way and don’t we all? Just curious. On the days you don’t track are you eating over your allotted points? Also it seems like you can cover your splurges with all this extra fitness points. Maybe you should try the simply filling program in WW since you don’t have to limit the size of your portions, just eat from the power foods list and use your 49 extra points plus your awesone fitness points for anything off the list. Then when you are super hungry you can simply eat larger amounts from the power foods list.

    • That’s a great question! If I don’t track, it’s usually because I’ve had a crazy busy day and I’m just not making time doing it. I have no problem tracking whatever it is I eat or drink. So, on a day I don’t track, it’s very likely I would have been within in points that day. I have thought about trying the simple filling, but I feel like I need some guideline each day. It’s such a mental game I play with myself… Thank you so much for following! 🙂

  2. Congrats on the 5lbs lost!! That’s so great!! Some weeks our body just retains more water then others which could be what happened with the gain from before!!

  3. WAHOO!!!!!!!!!! 5 pounds is INCREDIBLE!!!

Oh and perhaps your 3 pound gain the week before could have been due to being… Backed up? Not to sound gross but… SOMETIMES being backed up can cause up to an 8 pound weight gain!! How crazy is that!
