Week 8 is done and I am more than halfway through my training for the Women’s Half Marathon. Just 6 week to go until half marathon #6 and I can’t wait!
Week 8 brought with it less mileage, but it was perfect timing for this weekend. Hubby and I are in Orlando this weekend with our niece, ready for a fun day at SeaWorld.
Also exciting this week was the cooler temps! Slowly but surely, the temps are dropping here in Florida where it has been as hot as the face of the sun for months now. A very nice 64 degrees in the morning makes for a great run. Sign me up!!
Monday – Rest
Tuesday – 3 miles
Wednesday – 4 mile pace run
Thursday – 3 miles
Friday – Rest
Saturday – 5k
Sunday – Cross Training (aka walking around SeaWorld!)
Total miles for the week is 13.34. Seems like so little compared to last week’s 18 miles. But I’ll make up for it next week. Week 9 will bump up my mid-week run to 5 miles and I have a 9 miler next Sunday. Silly me, I can’t wait!
Do you count walking a theme park all day as cross training?
