I recently had the chance to order a custom shirt from MyRaceRagz to review. It really came at the perfect time as I have been thinking about making one with a favorite saying of mine. Nothing is more fun than wearing a shirt that clearly represents your love of running. And in my case, the fact that running is my therapy….
MyRaceRagz is a local-to-me company, here in Clearwater, FL. The company was started by a husband and wife, avid runners of course, who wanted to give runners the ability to create comfortable and fun shirts!
The ordering process… Everything is done online and it could not be any easier. You have several shirt styles to choose from – long sleeve, short sleeve, tank. All shirts are white and are moisture wicking which is so important when running. I love to run in a tank top, so I chose the Women’s Synergy Race Tank.
Once you have selected your shirt, you can then chose pre-designed sayings and graphics from their large library. They have the designs broken down in to many categories for different race distances, themes, events, and more. here is just a sample from the half-marathon section.
For my shirt, I chose to do my own text and more specifically, my favorite saying about running. After you enter your text, you choose size, placement, font, and text color. You can do text on the front AND back of the shirt. It really could not be any easier.
Once your order is submitted, it takes about 4-6 days for the shirt to be completed and then it is shipped. They have several shipping options (USPS and FedEx). Since I live local to them, I also had the option to pick it up. I chose to have it mailed, for what I felt was an inexpensive fee of $3.99.
So, what do I think of my shirt? I love the material – it is lightweight and very soft. The printing is neatly done on both sides and it matches my design and placement as I entered it. It will be very comfortable to wear on a hot Florida afternoon.
There are two things I don’t like, and one of them is my fault. I ordered a large, based on their sizing chart, even though I felt I should order an XL. I am top-heavy with a small waist. The arms fit fine and it’s comfortable in the waist and I like the length. But it’s too tight in the chest – a common issue for me. I should have gone with my gut instinct and bought the next size up. he second thing is, the material is so light that you can almost see through it, For us girls, you absolutely need to wear something under it and depending on the color, it may be very obvious. I would love to see other color options for the shirt.
I love my shirt and I think when I get to goal weight, it will fit fine.
So!! Do you want a chance to win your own custom shirt with free shipping? You’re in luck! You have several ways to enter, starting 12:00am October 26!
Disclaimer: I was given a shirt for free to review. I was also given a promo code for a free shirt (and shipping) to give away. All opinions are my own.
