One of the things I struggle with most when running is my hair. I don’t want to mess with it and I don’t want a headache from pulling it back. In fact, running / working out is the only time that I wear my hair back. When I first started running, I would pull my hair back in a ponytail and then use bobby pins to hold my bangs back. By the time I was done, the bobby pins were falling out because while I do have a lot of hair, it’s fine.
Earlier this year, in one of the challenges I participated in, I won a BAMR Band. I was really excited to try it because I was seeing so many photos of cute headbands on many of the runners I follow on social media. I was hopeful it would hold my hair back and not give me a killer headache.
The verdict? These bands are AWESOME. It is 7/8” wide and it doesn’t slip. At all. It stays in place. How this happens, especially on me, I will never know. But I am forever grateful when I am being active that my hair is one thing I don’t have to worry about it. And as an added bonus, it looks super cute even with your hair down!

BAMR Bands are made by the fabulous Katie over at Healthy Heddleston. She’s a mom to two and has time to make BAMR Bands! She has so many cute designs available. You can view them all in her online store here.
BAMR Bands are very reasonably priced at $10 each for regular designs and $12 for glitzy designs. I love that she has holiday themed bands as well. So fun and perfect for holiday-themed races and more! I’d also like to mention that $1 from each purchase goes to Every Mother Counts, a charity aiming to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world.
