half marathon playlist

With the Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon coming up this Sunday (eek!!!), I decided to put a playlist together rather than skip through music I may not want to listen to as I’m running and walking my heart out.

If you’re new to my blog, you can read here about the races I plan to do this year.

I have A LOT of music. And a very wide collection. This doesn’t even really tap into everything I have. You will probably be amused by some of what I’ve selected. Other songs, you won’t be too surprised by if you know me. All of these are picked because they will help the miles pass. Here goes!

Livin’ On A Prayer – Bon Jovi

Diary of Jane – Breaking Benjamin

Crawling Back To You – Daughtry

Edge of Glory – Lady Gaga

Titanium – David Guetta

Second Chance – Shinedown

Bad Medicine – Bon Jovi

Don’t Stop Believin’ – Journey

Light On – David Cook

Good Feeling – Flo Rida

Crazy – Daughtry

Best Of You – Foo Fighters

Remind Me – Brad Paisley

Monster – Lady Gaga

Superman Tonight – Bon Jovi

Harder To Breathe – Maroon 5

Bully – Shinedown

Cigaro – System of a Down

Highway To Hell – AC/DC

Judas – Lady Gaga

Set Fire To The Rain – Adele

Training Montage – Rocky IV Soundtrack

Glad You Came – The Wanted

You Give Love A Bad Name – Bon Jovi

You Don’t Belong – Daughtry

Just Dance – Lady Gaga

BYOB – System of a Down

Wide Awake – Katy Perry

You Shook Me All Night Long – AC/DC

War/Fanfare – Rocky IV Soundtrack

Lay Your Hands On Me – Bon Jovi

Ghost of Me – Daughtry

Dance In The Dark – Lady Gaga

Wild Ones – Flo Rida

Thunderstruck – AC/DC

Runaway – Bon Jovi

DOA – Foo Fighters

Have A Nice Day – Bon Jovi

Eye of the Tiger – Rocky IV Soundtrack

Nice To Know You – Incubus

Break The Spell – Daughtry

Highway Unicorn – Lady Gaga

Papercut – Linkin Park

Burning Heart – Rocky IV Soundtrack

So you noticed the music from the Rocky IV soundtrack, right? Laugh if you want, it’s one of my favorite movies and soundtracks and it is great to get me moving.

I may add a few more songs between now and Sunday but this is a pretty good amount of music. All I have to do is hit shuffle and I’ll be good to go for a few hours, likely listening to a few of these twice because I love them so much.

Do you make playlists for a race? What are a couple of go-to songs on your playlist?

  1. No Nickleback on your list?? Burn it to the Ground fires me up everytime. Love your list…it gave me some really good ideas.

    Good luck on your race

  2. These are awesome! Many of these did not surprise me at all, knowing you LOL. And of course I do not walk, much less race, so no playlist for me, but one song that ALWAYS gets me moving whether I’m working in the yard or cooking in the kitchen, is ” FLo Rida’s Good Feeling.”

    • Inventory is inflating nicely as Spring approaches slowly. In the first 10 days of the year we went up about 800 units, nice. Pace should increase rapidly in a few weeks. (now play evil laugh)yeah, normal increase in inventory between December and January is about 10%. We ended the year at ~8100 SFH so we’ve nearly hit the average at 1/3 of the way through the month. – Rate this comment: 0  0

    • My own experience to date is that not having the “street” or “avenue” or “boulevard” on the 5 day notice does not seem to be fatal to a case. I do make sure that the complaint and the order for possession have the full and complete address.
