Can you believe it’s Labor Day weekend? This makes me SO happy, I can hardly stand it. I really don’t like the summer so to say goodbye to August and hello September is a wonderful thing. Even better will be when it’s October!
I am linking up again today with Mar, Courtney, and Cynthia for the Friday Five. This week’s topic is Fall Preview. Anyone who know me knows that I love fall, it’s my favorite time of year. And while it’s still a little ways away, I am already looking forward to all that it has to bring.
1. All things pumpkin
Yes, I am the person who loves everything pumpkin. Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks (no matter how bad they may be for you), pumpkin bread, pumpkin fluff, pumpkin candles, and more. I’ve already had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season and even though I’ll agree it’s way early for them to be out, it was a wonderful treat and a sign that fall will be here sooner than later.
2. Our anniversary
I can’t believe on October 6th, we will celebrate our 13th anniversary. Even crazier is to think we’ve been together for 15 years. Sometimes it feels like we just got married. I still remember our wedding like it was yesterday, it was such a wonderful day with family and friends…. This year we’ll celebrate our anniversary a few days after at Halloween Horror Nights, which is fitting since that was technically our very first real date in 1999.
3. Cooler weather
Seriously, this summer has been so incredibly HOT. One of the main reasons I loathe the summer months. I long for the first cool front to come through and for the days of lower humidity and being able to open the windows and not run the air all the time. It is definitely something to look forward to.
4. Fall decorations
Fall decorations are my favorite. Autumn colors are so warm and pretty. Oranges, greens, and browns… I love pumpkin candles, anything with leaves on it, and of course pumpkin decorations. I can’t wait to pull out the box of fall decorations!
5. Space Coast Marathon
Let’s face it, everything about the next few months will be marathon related. Training and getting ready for my first 26.2 miles on November 30. I am still very excited about it. This Sunday will wrap up the first full month of training – it’s going by so fast! Next month will bring with it my longest runs ever which is exciting and nerve-wracking all at once. But I am making sure I enjoy the journey to the start line and earn this wonderful metal….
What are you looking forward to in the fall?
